| HELLO ALL! Finished my Junior Year. Yay for summertime! Doing camps this summer. So far, so good. Trying to find jobs in Norman/OKC for after I graduate in the Spring; It is easier said than done. I'm already tired of paying Federal and State taxes. I'm running out of money...and it sucks. Listening to some old school New Found Glory; Brings back memories of the old days. Life is good though. | | |
| Oh my goodness...its almost been a year since I last posted on here. A lot has happened. Biggest news is I'm now a Youth Minister at FCC Chickasha. So, I'm still workin at the grill at USAO too. So, that is two jobs and school. Almost done with my Junior Year, woohoo. I'm taking the summer off, finally. It'll be the first summer off since I started college back in 2004. Well..I gotta go do homework, ugh. Just thought I'd post again! Laura | | |
| So...I went to the Taking Back Sunday and Angels and Airwaves concert in Dallas yesterday...it freakin rocked!!! I rode down there with Justin, Jon, and Brian. We met Ryan, Chase, Jordan, Jacob, and Miranda there. The Subways played first, but we got there a little late, so we missed their set, which kinda sucks, because I heard they are pretty good. Head Automatica played 2nd....I really didn't get into them. Then Angels and Airwaves played!! It was so good. For those of you who don't know, the lead singer for A&A is Tom DeLonge from Blink-182. I cannot explain to you how awesome it was to see him standing up there on that stage. I mean I've been listening to Blink-182 since like 8th grade, it was pretty amazing. I really, really enjoyed their set. They put on one awesome show. Taking Back Sunday played last....oh my. They were absolutely amazing. I mean I saw Taking Back Sunday at Warped Tour 2 years ago, but this was so different. Other than Adam, the lead singer, talking like a southern baptist preacher in between songs, it was so awesome! That is probably one of the best concert experiences I've ever had. We were in the pit. Brian, Justin, Jacob, Miranda, Ryan, and Jordan all went in the middle. They were 2nd or 3rd row i think. I stayed out, I didn't feel like getting crushed and pushed around. I had an amazing spot though. Jon joined me later. He didn't have a pit ticket, but he bought someones wristband for $10 and was able to be in the pit for TBS. I loved it...if I could experience something like that everyday of my life, I would always be happy and be in a great mood!!
Let's see on the way down to Dallas, we stopped at WinStar Casino...I only spent $10, I told myself I couldn't spend anymore than that. The boys did a lot better than me, although none of us got the Jackpot , oh well. On the way home we stopped at an Adult Video place, although Brian and I were the only ones that could get in because it was 19 and older, hehe. It was a good time. Well that was pretty much my weekend and it was pretty much amazing. Next concert is The Format at the Diamond Ballroom. Everyone should be there!!!! Okay that is all, everyone have a fantastic day!!!

| Hey all...its been awhile, but nothing has really been going on, so there was nothing to post.
Lets see...all I've been doing is working and doing school work. This week is mid-terms, so that is no fun, but I've taken 2 outta 3 so far and gotten A's on both, so thats good. I've been getting up pretty much every morning and working out with my mom. We ride our bikes over to the tennis courts and play tennis or we drive over to her school and play basketball. Its a good time....7 am is so early though. I'm helping with Junior camp (3rd-5th graders) in a week. It'll be a good time...but I know I'll be exhaused afterwards, hehe. Melanie, Patrick, and Jackie are helping too, so it should be a great time.
I went to the Ok Go, Hush Sound, and Panic! At the Disco concert last night with Jacob, Miranda, Ryan, and Chase. It was a good time. I might put some pictures up later if I can figure it out, haha. The Hush Sound was awesome. I really enjoy their music! Ok Go was absolutely amazing. They put on a great show. They do this dance in their music video and so at the end of their set they did the dance for us...it was awesome!!! I really liked them. Then Panic played. Their music was pretty good...its so gosh darn catchy, hehe. Their performance, though, was pretty much ridiculous. They had 2 girls and a guy that were dressed up like mimes or something and they danced around and acted out stuff. The guy went around and took polaroids of the band members during the concert and then they had an intermission (who has a freakin intermission??) and the guy came out and talked about the pictures and how the people could have them...for a price. So they auctioned off the pictures...it made me pretty much sick to my stomach. The guy was like you pay a little tonight and they will be worth tons of money tomorrow....I was like you've got to be kidding me, lets be a little more full of ourselves. It was pretty much ridiculous. But, overall I had a good time.
Well thats all thats been going on. I've gotta go help my mom decorate her classroom. You kids have an awesome week.

| Alrighty, guess it's time for an update! I went to the Format concert on the 20th. It was freakin awesome. I love the Format....also a band named Anathallo played. They were really good as well and everyone should check them out. The venue was crappy, but it was a good show. I went with Maryann and met up with Jacob, Miranda, Ryan, and Chase. All in all it was a good night. The next day I drove to Enid to go to a funeral. A girl from my senior class killed herself. All I gots to say about it is don't make fun of people...even if you don't do it to their face, I mean come on, you know when someone is making fun of you. Be kind to everyone, you have no idea what is going on in their lives.
Yesterday was my birthday, yippee! The big 2-0, haha. It was a good time. I went out to eat with James, Amanda, Shelby, and Addison at Chili's...and who happened to "show up"....yeah thats right, Sarah, Brian, Ryan, and Travis. Then we all went back to Jamanda's apt and they suprised me with a cookie cake with 20 candles in it. One fell over and we thought we were gonna catch the box on fire. The cookie cake was, of course, spectacular....it had a lot of icing though...but that didn't stop me, hehe. Addison is the cutest baby in the world and she gave me kisses for the first time yesterday...that must have been her birthday present to me! Brian gave me the new Taking Back Sunday cd...it is pure awesomeness. I really like it. James and Amanda gave me $25, which I need of course. Sarah made me a beautiful card...but forgot to sign her name, I'm glad I know her handwriting, haha. It was an awesome birthday. Brian informed me that Taking Back Sunday and Angels and Airwaves are playing in Dallas in July....so we are going, how exciting is that? I'm very excited...and then 2 months after that will be Austin City Limits, woohoo.
My aunt is gonna be in a marathon on Sunday in Norman, so I might go cheer her on. Once I get there and see everyone running, I'll probably wanna jump right in the race....wait....no, I probably won't because running=no fun. School starts on Monday....we'll see how that goes. Well, I best go, everyone have a spectacular week!
